S & S BODY SHOP was founded by Kellor M. Scott in 1966 & has been serving Greater Richmond area for more than 50 years. We are family owned & operated & have maintained highest quality standards of refinishing automobiles with state- of- the- art facility for years. PROCESS...how it works.

ESTIMATE

A detail inspection of vehicle is carried out & the data is entered in the estimating computer systems.This data is compiled into an estimate that determines the cost of repairs.Hidden damage( if any )cannot be seen until after the dis-assembly done.

APPROVAL

Once the estimate is completed, the insurance company will review and determine the vehicle is repairable and the procedures. Once the process is completed, the actual process of repair starts on vehicle.

DISASSEMBLY & ORDERING THE PARTS

Often hidden damage is found & structural repairs are determined. This may require re-inspection by insurance company and orders for parts are made.Although many parts arrive on time, some parts need special ordering.The repair process is also evaluated for structural damage( if any).

STRUCTURAL & BODY REPAIR

A sophisticated computerized frame machine is used to monitor all process for structural repair to bring vehicle back to factory specification. Body repair department replaces , repair & align the exterior panels. This whole process is carried out precisely considering the safety factor .The vehicle begins to come back to life.

PAINT

Best quality paint material is used for refinishing the vehicle. All required area are prepared for paint after primed & sealed to ensure good adhesion. Top paint coat & clear coats are applied .

REASSEMBLY & DETAILING

Final moldings, labels , emblems & logos are put on vehicle. Vehicle & it systems are checked in this process & it is also road tested to ensure the proper working of the vehicle.A final inspection, thorough cleaning & detailing inside & outside is carried out.

DELIVERY IS THE FINAL STEP

When customer arrives for pick up, the bill is explained with all the work done on vehicle. Customer drives away in the vehicle that has been restored to it's pre-accident condition.
